HISTORY

In the 1930s, the famous racehorse breeder, Edward Plunkett ‘E. P.’ Taylor initiated and financed the development of St. Andrews simultaneously with other areas, such as Windfields, York Mills, Denlow and Bayview; this explains why St. Andrews is always paired with Windfields and York Mills. As these areas became more industrialized, offering a variety of basic services, more residents sought to settle down.
